Registration is now underway for FIRST LEGO League, Jr. Team 970. Our first session will be on Tuesday, September 26th.
This year's challenge is Aqua Adventure. We will be learning about water resources. Get ready for a really exciting year!

On April 21st and 22nd our Wise School robotics team members participated in the 2017 FIRST LEGO LEAGUE JUNIOR WORLD EXPO which took place in Houston, TX. Teams from all over the world were judged on their LEGO Model, SHOW ME Poster and their research presentation. Based on the excellent performance and outstanding scientific research the team received the Lil' Einstein Award. VIDEO LINK (with thanks to our Team Mentor, Ruben Torres) During the 2016 - 2017 academic year we will have two FLL Jr. Teams.
Team 970 will continue to meet on Mondays from 3:30 - 4:30. Team 1890 will meet on Thursdays from 3:30 - 4:30. Each team will have 6 members. All team members must be in grades 1-3. All members will be responsible for conducting research on this year's challenge: Creature Craze in order to develop our Show Me Poster. In addition team members will be responsible for creating a simple machine using LEGO We Do kits and preparing an oral presentation for judging sessions at any FLL Jr. Expos our team attends. Children who want to participate in this team should work well in groups and be able to travel with the team. MAXIMUM TEAM SIZE: 6 Registration will open on August 29th. Please contact [email protected] for more information. Milken Robotics Coordinator, Mark Mascardi visited our FLL Jr. Team (#970) today to give us an introduction to programming EV3 Mindstorms brick. We learned to use slower speeds to ensure turn accuracy.
