What a busy week we had in kindergarten! Students spent the week preparing for their animal exhibit. Students were busy writing and painting! Students celebrated Purim this week! They had fun learning about the story of Purim, they made a grogger, decorated a Mishloach manot box and made delicious hamentashen! Check their amazing costumes! Save the Date!Join us for our Animal Exhibit!! Come see all that your that your child has been learning about big cats (room 5) and marsupials (room 6) Friday March 25th at 8:00am-8:30am in Room 5 and 6 This week our students have been working so hard on their animal habitats, animals, and research books! They are becoming such animal experts! We are so proud of all their hard work! In math we are continuing to compare different sets and finding out which group has more or fewer. In hebrew students have been learning about the story of Purim. We hope to see you all at the Purim Carnival on Sunday! Upcoming Events3/20 Purim Carnival 11am-4pm
3/24 9:15 Purim Assembly-- Don't forget to dress up! 3/25 Kindergarten Animal Exhibit 8:00-8:30 3/25 Wise Birthday Celebration This week each class continued to learn more about their animals! Students are now using what they have learned about big cats/marsupials to write a research book! Students were very excited to see many of the animals that they studied at the zoo! Our field trip to the zoo was a blast! Check out a few pictures below from our wonderful day! In math we started our next chapter on comparing different sets of numbers. Students are using their math vocabulary of less, more, greater, and fewer to compare different numbers. We look forward to seeing you next week at conferences! 3/17 Parent Conferences- Student Free Day 3/18 Founders Day Assembly at 9:00 3/20 Purim Carnival This week we celebrated Dr. Seuss's birthday with our 6th grade buddies! Students read books together and made a special hat from the story, Cat in the Hat. Students in room 5 continued to research information on big cats (tigers, lions, and cheetahs). Ask your child what new information they learned about big cats! Students also learned that cheetah's are the fastest land mammal, we were able to see who was the fastest mammal in our class! Students in room 6 started studying all about marsupials! This week students also continued with their writing and handwriting of lowercase letters. In math students learned about solid (3d shapes) and flat shapes! They were excited to find many solid shapes all around us in real life objects such as at school and at home. They also found out which shapes can slide, stack, or roll. Upcoming Events3/10 Field Trip to the LA Zoo
