This week we celebrated Rosh Hashanah with all Explorer classrooms in our Amphitheater. We had special guests (orcheem) visit our celebration, Rabbi Yoshi, Rabbi Josh and administrators from both our preschool and elementary school. We sang songs in Hebrew and English, blew the shofar and tasted apples dipped in honey. We hope you will enjoy the videos of the children singing as much as we enjoyed teaching them and seeing the results. We are impressed by their abilities to recall and understand the Hebrew they are hearing in such a short time. We will see you all next Monday. We hope you will enjoy your Rosh Hashanah holiday with family and friends. Shana Tova, Mira & Liat RemindersSeptember 25-26- No school in observance of Rosh Hashanah

We are so excited for the children in room 15. Two weeks into the school year and they have learned 3 colors; red, green and yellow, sizes; small, medium and large, and songs about a Shofar & Apples Dipped in Honey…all in HEBREW! We have played outdoors early on in the day due to the tremendous heat we are experiencing. The children enjoy playing on the Blue yard, with water play and on the large back patio. They are all very interested in the sandbox and water play. They also enjoy watering our plants in the back yard with the water hose (Tzinor mayiim) The children are feeling very comfortable in their classroom and we are working with them on taking responsibility for themselves. They throw away their own trash, set up their own bedding, clean up their own toys and are very capable. We are slowly introducing jobs to the children. This gives them a sense responsibility and pride. We learned the word pomegranate (Rimon). We spoke about the color, texture, taste as it was compared to a corn! Below you will see some photos of our week’s adventures, including pictures Very Important: Our Morning meeting begins at 9:10 a.m. please arrive at school at 9:00 a.m. Shabbat Shalom Mira & Liat RemindersSnack of the week: Hayli
