We also began to a talk about how each of us is different and the same. The children are discovering that some of us are tall, some of are smaller and we have different color hair. Next week we are going to continue with that and start looking at our faces and the parts that make up our bodies. Reading the “Very Hungry Caterpillar”, gave us the opportunity to talk about symmetry; since a butterfly’s wings are identical to each other
The room smelled delicious on Tuesday with the sweet smell of apples, cinnamon, brown sugar and lemon. To help bring in the New Year, we made Apple Turnovers and had them for an after rest time snack.
We wish all our friends and Room 12 families a Very Happy, Healthy and Sweet New Year.
