Dear parents, This week the children have reviewed the first three letters of the alphabet. We have been working on words that start with each letter and the letter sounds. We’re also learning about” The Tree’s Birthday” holiday called Tu B’shevat. The children are enjoying being outside and working in the garden raking the leaves, planting seeds,,painting on bark and having a picnic on the grass together under the trees. We have read the book “The Littlest Tree". Your children are learning so much about the many important things that trees give us. Tricycle express on Tuesday was so much fun and then we went for a walk to the plaza to see all the vegetable and herbs planted at the sustainable garden. Your children were so excited to see broccoli, strawberries, cabbage, corn and other herbs growing. We read "The Giving Tree” on Wednesday. Your children were in awe as to how much a tree can give. We then asked a question “If you were a tree and you need to be cut, what you want to be used for?" Here are some of their responses, " I want to be a wooden floor.", "I want to be a shelf so I can put away all my books.”, “I want to be a wooden robot.", "I want to be a chair.", "I want to be a dresser.", "I want to be a table.", "I want to be a door.", etc. Music with Teacher Brock was so much fun and your children continue to learn the song “ And the Green Grass Grows all Around”. Please stop by and see the beans that we are trying to grow in a rainbow colored medium. We are trying to find out if we can grow rainbow colored beans. We are all excited to find out. Enjoy your weekend and Shabbat shalom. Bam and Lashelle Camp Wise 2015Take advantage of our EARLY BIRD DISCOUNT, which is available to all campers until March 1, 2015!
