Dear Parents,
Although we had a shorter week, there was so much fun and learning happening in room 14! We begun our week with alphabet bingo with capital letters and we are so proud of how the children are becoming more familiar and able to recognize these upper case letters. Our music class with Andrew was extra special this week as he brought new instruments that resembled a part of a xylophone. The children did following directions songs and listening to specific beats and learning to clap along appropriately. This enhances the children’s auditory processing and allows them to enjoy music but in a more structured way. We have also begun talking about Purim in multiple ways with the children. We have done story telling with puppets, reading Purim books, and Rabbi Josh told the story with the children during our weekly conversations with him. The children are beginning to remember the characters from hearing the story last year, practicing their recall and becoming more familiar with the story and the lessons that can be learned from it. The children also had a wonderful time at the farmers market! Thank you to everybody for bringing the grapes and tzedakah to donate. Reminders: Look out for an email from Wise regarding the online sign up for conferences. If both parents work, please be conscious to sign up on the earlier side as you will have more options to work with a busier schedule. Shabbat boy next week is Jordan Golditch. The Purim carnival is this Sunday! Next Friday is our dress up day for Purim. Although Purim is technically on Thursday, please only send children in dress up on Friday. Also as a reminder we do not allow masks or weapons (swords, wands, pretend guns, etc) at school. There is a Tot Shabbat on March 3rd. Shabbat Shalom, Room 14 teachers
