Dear Parents,
This week was very busy, as we had so many activities and also started learning about Hanukkah. We began the week with pajama day, which is always an enjoyable experience for the children, as the change in routine is so silly. We had milk and cookies in addition to snack and ate in our dimly lit room, and read a book on the carpet together. During our Havdalah service this Monday and throughout the week, Chen and Hannah told all of the classes a puppet version of the Hanukkah story, making it very approachable for the children. We have also begun singing Hanukkah songs, which we look forward to singing for you all at our Hanukkah party next Thursday December 6th. We also sang these songs with Andrew during music this week. Hearing the guitar music helped the children to better remember the melody and words. We took the children on a trip to the book fair on Wednesday when they were dressed in their costumes and wanted to explore. We sat as a group in the bean bag area and read There Was An Old Lady Who Swallowed A Dreidel. The children played a Hanukkah matching game in which they worked on their memory skills and patience with turn taking. The children help one another and must pay attention to the cards being called. Thank you to Hannah and her family for celebrating her birthday with us along with being Shabbat family this week. Reminders: Our Hanukkah party will be Thursday December 6th, parents are invited Chloe and Lilah are library children next week Ethan is Shabbat child next week Farmers market Friday December 14th Shabbat Shalom, Room 14 Teachers
