Dear Parents,
This week we have a lot of thank you’s to give out. Firstly, thank you to everybody for joining us to celebrate Hanukkah. It was so special to have the Rabbi join us for the story and blessings, and also for Andrew to accompany our songs with his guitar. We loved seeing everybody so present with their children. The children spent the week continuing to learn the story, the songs that we sang, as well as created some art work using multiple materials. The children used clay and cookie cutters to create a decoration, noting the sensory differences between clay and the playdough that we typically use the cookie cutters with. They painted these with very small brushes, strengthening fine motor skills. The children also played Hanukkah bingo, learning how to take turns without a teacher present and playing fairly. Next, thank you to Ethan’s family for joining us for Shabbat and bringing such a wonderful book to share with the group. Thank you also to Lilah’s mother Tannaz for being our library parent this week.
