Dear Room 12 Parents, YEAH…a full week of school! We continued learning about Tu B’Shevat all this week. On Monday, we took a beautiful nature walk to the back of the Temple where your children collected twigs, leaves, baby pine cones and tree bark. On Tuesday, each child made their own tree out of the materials we collected. We will be having a Tu B’Shevat celebration with the other classes in the Witzman Building next week. Thank you to everyone for signing up to bring some fruits, both fresh and dried, for the children to taste and enjoy. We will also be making a birthday cake for the trees which we will enjoy during our Tu B’Shevat celebration. On Tuesday, your children also enjoyed riding tricycles on Baron Field. It is so nice to see that all the children in our class are now able to pedal their bikes. On Wednesday, we enjoyed our time in the Max Hess Library. It is always a very special time of our week when we are able to visit our library Along with music teacher Brock, we are practicing the songs we will be singing during our Tu B’Shevat celebration next week. All the songs are about trees, seeds, and planting, oh what fun we are having. We ask that all parents restock their children’s extra clothing supply. Some are running very low, others have no extra clothing. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Enjoy a wonderful Super Bowl weekend.
