Dear Parents,
While this was a short week, we still had tons of fun and many learning experiences. We started our discussions about Purim and the story that encompasses it. Your children are learning about all the characters within the Purim story and some of them are starting to recall the information they have previously learned. They are very engaged in the story and so excited to dress up on Friday, March 2nd. Everyone was eager to share what or who they were going to come dressed up as. We explained that while they get to dress up, they are not allowed to bring any pretend weapons or wear a mask or anything that covers their face. This resulted in a few of them changing their ideas on what they were going to wear and resulted in many questions revolving why they were not allowed. This led to a discussion about reminding them about safety of themselves and others and that they do not always get to make the decisions. We are continuing to work on our fine motor skills through drawing various lines and shapes. It is very important to have your children exposed to the use of scissors (with supervision) and various writing tools. Please help us in helping them become more independent and confident, while strengthening their fine motor skills. If you need any suggestions or ideas, please do not hesitate to ask and we are more than happy to provide you with some ideas. Music on Wednesday with Andrew was once again a blast! On Thursday, Rabbi Josh joined us and shared the story of Purim through the use of puppets. On Friday, we had a wonderful time walking to Katz Pavilion for Farmer’s Market. Thank you to everyone who brought in pineapples and melons! We would like to request to please bring your child to school on time. It is imperative that we get our day started at 9:00am every day. There are many learning and social opportunities during this time and we would like to be starting our circle promptly when they arrive. Thank you for understanding and support. Thank you to Scarlett and her family for spending her birthday and Shabbat with us. Shabbat Shalom!
