Shalom Ulpanon Bet Families,
We continued the joyous celebration and spirit of Purim this week. The children are having fun singing the holiday songs, recounting the Purim story with all the characters and are well aware that the Purim story is found in the Megillat Esther. In keeping with the festivities, the children made two different masks depicting the different characters in the story of Purim. We have very exciting and festive week next week. We will be baking Hamantashen-the three-cornered delicious Purim treat. We explained the tradition and the custom of “Mishloach Manot” and we thank you for sending one item from home. Our special baskets will be sent home on Friday. Next Tuesday will be Pajama day – so please send your child in their favorite pajamas. Wednesday we will have “Share and Tell” and we would like each child to dress in their favorite color. Friday during our regular Shabbat service will include a Purim shpiel, and all will be dressed in costume. On Monday we celebrated Ilan’s Birthday, Ilan is 5! Yom Huledet Sameach, Ilan.
