Dear parents of Room 20,
It was an action packed week here at Wise School! The children requested some of their favorite toys to be put out this week, such as Mr. Potato-head, and magnatiles on our extra-large magnetic board. On Monday the children were given paper and water colors without a prompt or specific project in mind to complete. It was very interesting to see what the children were able to create using their own imagination compared to the usual guidance. Because of the beautiful weather outside, the children have been able to explore water play during outdoor play time! We have many different-sized containers for the children to experiment with how much water will fill something and what happens when you put more than can fit. Our butterflies hatched! We walked to our school’s monarch butterfly garden behind the temple and released our five butterflies that we got to watch transform. The children were so excited to sing our school goodbye song “shalom chaverim” to the butterflies and we are so impressed with how much information they have retained about the process by which a caterpillar turns into a butterfly. Andrew also came this week and brought new instruments, finger symbols, which really excited the children! Thank you so much to Jordan’s family when he was Shabbat boy for bringing food for the class! Reminders: There is no school Monday May 29-Wednesday May 31st. We have our classroom’s end of the year party next Friday June 2nd. From drop off to 10:30 feel free to join us for breakfast. If your child will be staying for Shabbat, we ask that you say goodbye at 10:30 as we have to be at temple at 11 for Shabbat. The last day of school for our class is June 5th. Thank you so much! Shabbat Shalom, Michelle, Marloes, and Tatiana
