While this was a short week, we still had an abundance of time for fun and learning!
We explored with paint and bubble wrap. Children had the opportunity to pop the bubbles and to take different cut outs and use them to paint on a paper. We talked about our senses based on the shapes that we saw and the sounds that we heard when it went “pop.” We got to make new paintings in a Ziploc bag. Children picked which colors they wanted to use to make their own rainbow painting, and they used their fine motor skills to push the paint around. We restocked our library with books all about spring. This inspired conversation about all the different colors, rainbows and the changes in the weather. During table top activities, we had out many different manipulatives to work on our fine motor skills. During circle time, we continued to play songs that the children had to listen to very carefully and follow the directions (skip, hop, twirl, run, and tip toe). The children are continuing to work on their freeze dance skills (they are phenomenal). We used scarves to throw in the air to the music and we worked on our colors. On Friday we got to make challah. The children had a wonderful time putting flour on the challah and were able to make the choice of what they wanted to put inside of it before rolling it up. Thank you to Chloe and her family for bringing in snack and spending Shabbat with us! A special congratulations to Elijah and his family on the birth of his new baby brother!
