What a wonderful week it has been in room 21. All of the children have made big strides in their progress and today, for the first time, we had all of the mommies out of the room! Mommies, we love you but your children can now venture out and explore confidently on their own. We are so proud of them!
As usual, our first steppers were involved in lots of play and exploration activities. We made cloud dough, painted, scribbled with crayons on the wall (writing on a vertical surface helps to develop the proper hand and wrist position which is an important prewriting skill). We worked on puzzles with numbers, colors and shapes. and continued our pretend play in the kitchen. We observed lots of running, jumping, climbing and sand and water play in the outdoor environment. What a fun and productive week we shared. Also, we'd like to remind you about the parent teacher conferences on Wednesday afternoon and Thursday (28th &29th). It will be an informal chat with us to talk about development and answer questions and to hear from you the parent. We look forward to sitting down with all of you. It will run 20 minutes and we ask that your child not be present. Coming up the following week (next Monday Nov 2) there will be a Pajama Party with pizza and new books in the evening- please see our parent board for details. We also ask that you to have your child dress in his/her favorite pajamas for school that day. We'll remind you again next Friday. Shabbat Shalom! Sue & Anita
