January 27, 2017 We would like to extend a warm welcome to Farzaneh who will be with us for the next few weeks while Ashley is recovering. We started our week singing Rain, rain go away, we want to go outside and play! But it continued to rain even harder and we even saw it hailing on our play yard. We’ve been enjoying indoor activities with lots of building, dress up and art. Please look at our beautiful Mural on the wall. Andrew brought in egg shakers, rhythm sticks and wooden tone blocks for the children to play with their singing. We introduced the holiday of TuB’Shevat to the children, which is the “New Year of the Trees”. The holiday has become a tree planting festival in Israel to honor the memories of family and friends. We will be creating a big tree in our classroom and we will also be planting. We had such a fun experience with cooking that we decided to make muffins. Everyone participated in measuring, pouring and mixing. The muffins were yummy! REMINDERS; PICTURE DAY IS Tuesday January 31st please arrive on time. FATHER’S AND GRANDFATHER’S WEEK starts February 6th. More information to follow. Shabbat Shalom, Debbie & Farzaneh
