This week we said our goodbyes to Andrew, our music teacher. Andrew has been a wonderful addition to our program and we thank him for his enthusiasm and for being so great with the kids!
Thank you to Teacher Lashelle for organizing our beach day and ice cream party on Wednesday. Our friends absolutely loved having ice cream with sprinkles and fruit toppings at school. What a fun treat! This week we also talked about the holiday of Shavuot, which celebrates the gift of the Torah to the Jewish people. We explained to the children that in the Torah there are rules about how to treat our family and friends. We asked our friends in Room 25 about the rules in school. "You can't punch, no hitting, don't throw sand, be kind, you can't push your friend." We also talked about being kind to your mommy and daddy and sister and brother. We then took a walk to Temple, and all the children had the opportunity to touch the Torah. They were in awe when we opened the Ark and removed the Torah. Chag Shavuot Sameach! Remember way back in September when we had parent chairs in our classroom? As the end of the year approaches, take a moment to reflect on how much your children have grown. Thank you to Taylor and her family for joining us for Shabbat! It's always so lovely to end our week celebrating Shabbat together. Reminders:
Shabbat Shalom! Hope you have a nice Memorial Day weekend! See you on Thursday, June 1st! Marcela and Judy
