What a week! We started off the week by learning about taking care of our earth. We celebrated Earth Day with all of Pre-K. Lots of parents made this day so wonderful and special. There was a huge Earth Day fair where we got to taste smoothies freshly made by the kids using delicious organic fruits. They then reused their cups to plant seeds that we hope will grow on our patio outside our room. They got to look at composting and learn about the process. We then sat and enjoyed the outdoors with a yoga instructor. What a fun experience. The kids all shared their ideas about taking care of the earth. A fun time was had by all!
We finished off the week with a huge Pre-K celebration of Israel’s birthday. We got to celebrate Yom Ha’Atzmaut with all our friends in an Israeli shook. The kids were able to use our Israeli money and buy all sorts of Israeli foods. They tasted pita and humus, watermelon and oranges, pickles and olives and Israeli salad. What a treat to taste all the amazing foods and walk around like they do in Israel to buy treats. Seeing everyone dressed in blue and white was spectacular.
