It was so wonderful to welcome our children back to Room 9 after Spring Break! Everyone looked so grown up and ready to finish the year off strong. We heard many stories of all the fabulous adventures that were had by all the families.
This week we have been discussing Yom Ha’Azmaut, Israel’s Birthday! This coming Tuesday all of Pre-K will gather together to enjoy an amazing experience by walking around a pretend Israeli Shuk. We have talked about Israel and its beautiful cities, delicious foods, and all it has to offer us as Jewish people. We sat down and wrote our own prayers for the kotel. They children thought long and hard about what they wanted to say, and it came from their hearts. Some said, “Wow, I hope G-d hears this!” “I have so many prayers!” We painted the flags of Israel that we will wave proudly at services next Friday and maybe even around the shuk. While painting the flag we heard things like, “A Jewish star is two triangles!” “I know, the flag for Israel is blue and white, just like my favorite color!” Shabbat Shalom, Rachel and Linda Reminders: - Next week we will focus on the letter “U”.
