Dear Parents, Look how far we have come! Throughout these last six months, we worked on many different concepts. with your children. Beginning with transition, sitting quietly during circle time, waiting our turn at snack time, waiting in a line before walking into our classroom, walking on the rope to Temple on Shabbat, raising our hand if we have a question, helping a friend if they get hurt, what it is to be a good friend and finally potty training. Your little ones have come so far and grown in so many different ways. They are beginning to understand and remember these wonderful changes. They have accomplished so much and should be very proud of themselves for all their hard work. We are so proud of your amazing children. It has been a pleasure to spend each day with them. To encourage them, to motivate them, and to teach them. To hug them when they were sad, to high five them when they were happy and to keep them safe. Thank you for trusting your precious children with us. We will think of them often and miss them so much. We wish you all a wonderful and peaceful summer of travel and exploration. All Our love, Teacher Nikki and Teacher Liora

What better way to bring in the warm sun than by being outside? Your kids love every minute spent outdoors! During this time they are given an opportunity to explore, learn, and experience the natural world. This last week we used the colorful plastic rings to help teach them their shapes and colors. Setting the rings on the floor and jumping from one ring into another, taught the kids how to identify each color. They even practiced balancing the rings on their hands, holding a ball, and pushing the shopping cart. This was not only a fun game but it also helped them develop their gross motor skills. The toy house in the sandbox was another fun activity that each child enjoyed playing in. Your children made Teacher Nikki and Teacher Liora ‘’ice cream cones’’ and ‘’coffee’’ as well as playing in the sandbox. Your kids enjoyed riding the bikes, pushing the shopping carts, and rocking on the teeter-totter with other friends. On some days this week, we laid out butcher paper and paint, as well as play dough and other games on the table. This allowed each child to act out their own creativity. Teacher Liora also sang songs in the grassy area with the kids; where they were dancing, laughing, and singing along. We look forward to water play once the weather gets warm enough.
