Dear Ulpanon Aleph Parents, Our classroom has turned into Shushan. The children have been dressing up as the various characters from the story and acting out the parts. They have been enjoying dressing up and showing off to their friends. They have had fabric that we have turned into costumes available to dress up in and jewelry to wear. The children have been looking at the mirror we have up on our wall, modeling their costumes and crowns in the mirror, looking at their reflections and smiling at themselves. We’ve been singing Purim songs, “Esther titchatni iti” (Esther won’t you marry me), “Chag Purim” (Purim holiday), and “H’Covah Sheli” (My Hat) to name a few songs. We have caught the children marching around the room using the tree branches as walking sticks singing “oy oy dod Mordechai” (Oy Oy Uncle Mordechai) Thank you to Hagit, Ariel’s mom, who was our Library reader. We painted crowns that the children will be able to wear in the class. The children picked from various colors and very carefully painted on their crown so as to not mix the colors or paint the table. We rounded out our week with our series of specialists, Music with Marcos, Yoga with Cheryl and Storah with Rabbi Sari. We enjoyed Music with Ditza where we sang songs for Purim. She put out costumes for the children and we marched around like in a parade. We celebrated Charlotte's birthday with her family. We enjoyed our 1st ever Generation’s Day with everyone’s special visitors. It was such a beautiful experience watching your children work alongside their special guest as they arranged bags for those in need. Shabbat also felt extra special with all those extra beautiful voices joining in the songs. Wishing you all a Shabbat Shalom, Gali, Mira and Miri Reminders: Eli is our Shabbat Aba on Friday, March 6th We will be celebrating Purim, with costumes (no masks or weapons please) on Tuesday, March 10th.
