Shalom Ulpanon Bet Families,
This week we have been practicing for the Pre-K celebration, along with the other Pre-K classes. The children are enjoying the new songs and special movements. In class, we are reviewing the songs we have sung all year in preparation for our upcoming Ulpanon Bet closing circle on May 30th. We continued to focus on our “Big Idea” of “Cheyrut” (freedom), as we introduced the story of Lag Ba’Omer. We discussed how the Jewish people fought for their freedom to celebrate Shabbat and study the Torah, and that Bar Kochva led and won the war against the Romans. We asked the children what they like to celebrate and how they would feel if they no longer had the freedom to do so. Some of their responses were: “I will be sad if I couldn’t light Shabbat candles,” I would be sad if I couldn’t speak Hebrew!” “I would be sad if I couldn’t say the Modeh Ani.” During Yoga with Cheryl, we went on a Yoga adventure to England with Princess Kate and posed in the cat pose, squat pose, and downward facing dog pose. We danced and marched between poses and played with the parachute. We had fun! Baby News!!! Congratulation to the Waldman family! Our Vida is a proud and happy big sister. We wish them a MAZAL TOV!!! During music with Ditza we sang and marched around the classroom to Lag Ba’Omer songs. Here is a link to some of the songs: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U3IVBcC4zHw&t=252s. The EC teachers will be enjoying Teacher Appreciation Day - Yom Hamoreh - this afternoon. Thank you for your support and wonderful feedback. Important Dates:
