Our week has been short and sweet! Many of our friends have not been feeling well and have not been in school. We hope everyone feels better and comes back to school soon.
On Thursday, we spent some time decorating kippot which we will be wearing when we go to Shabbat on Fridays! Our next holiday coming up is Tu B'Shevat. This beautiful holiday is a favorite among many of us as we get to celebrate... TREES! Tu B'Shevat is basically a Jewish Arbor Day, or how to teach our friends- the "birthday of the trees! In the coming weeks, we will explore and talk about the many different types of trees, fruits that grow on trees and we will be planting and making a birthday cake for the trees! Thank you to Jonah and his family for making our Shabbat together so special this week. It was lovely having Shabbat in Room 23. All of our friends are so looking forward to having their families come in to celebrate Shabbat with us!
