Purim time is an especially fun week at school. The children enjoyed coming to school in their pajamas on Tuesday, and they continued the week with “Wacky Wednesday” and “Crazy Hair Day” on Thursday. The week culminated with a day of dress up, hand-made groggers and a silly Purim Shpiel in Temple on Friday!
The children created masks, listened to the Purim story, dressed up with costumes and beaded necklaces and tasted yummy Hamentaschen. We had a wonderful time visiting with the dads, grandfathers and uncles that came to our classroom last Friday and joined us for our Shabbat service in the Sanctuary. -Please feel free to sign up for additional Shabbat Boy/Girl in the weeks to come. -3/13 Leah is Shabbat Girl. Meet in our classroom at 10am and we will walk to Temple together. Please bring a Hallah and a small plant/herb that the children can plant outside. -Please check your child’s clothing box to be sure they have extra socks, shirts and pants, and an extra sweatshirt or sweater. -Spring Break –The last day of school is Friday, March 27. School resumes on Monday, April 13. - Please bring Sova and Tzedakah on Fridays. The children love to put coins in the Tzedakah box and drop food in the Sova bin before we enter the Sanctuary for our service. Shabbat Shalom!
