This week turned out to be a very busy week filled with a variety of different activities! The children enjoyed experimenting with magnets and particularly loved to watch a magnet move without touching it. Would it repel and attract? We have found that most children naturally gravitate towards science and we are introducing many opportunities for experimentation both outdoors and in the classroom. We painted using forks. It was interesting to watch the expressions on the children’s faces as they were introduced to a tool that they understood to be used for eating. We experimented with the fork in an entirely different way.. Now that Purim has ended, we are starting to tell the story of Passover and the children were intrigued by the tale. There are so many interesting, colorful characters in the Passover story. The mean Pharoah, the baby Moses, pyramids and jumping green frogs make for an exciting story. In addition, we are using Passover songs to supplement their learning. Important Reminders: Parent/Teacher Conferences: March 18 (noon dismissal) and March 19 (no school) Passover Seder, March 25 – 11 am and parents are welcome to attend!
