This week we experimented with Thanksgiving foods by seeding pumpkins and roasting the seeds and shucked ears of corn for starters. Teacher Marcela brought in a fun receipe for home-made Gak and we joined with room 21 to make and play with it. It was all the rave!
Our costume department has enchanted the children and ignited their imaginations. They’re creating princess stories and search and rescue adventures! Our students are learning to move from center to center, are making friends with the other First Steps friends and are developing a sense of comfort with all of the First Steps teachers. Language is just exploding with our “first steppers” and it is both thrilling and exciting to see how they are developing! Next Monday, November 24th, 2014, is our Thanksgiving feast; please make sure the item you’ve signed up for and as a reminder, we must have the food items brought to the classroom first thing Monday morning. We appreciate your participation for all you do! Please check your child’s cubby/box for diapers, wipes and also make sure to have additional warm weather clothing since with some good luck, we may get the feel of fall and winter. Have a great weekend! Shabbat Shalom, Elizabeth, Sarah, & Trish
