Dear Room C Families,
It has been another week of learning and fun as we focused on Purim. Your children have been hard at work making groggers to shake whenever they hear Haman's name, making crowns, baking hamantashen and dressing up as kings and queens, super heroes and mice. The children have been so engaged in the story of Purim, and they have enjoyed learning the songs associated with the holiday. Baking is a wonderful activity that incorporates so many aspects of our curriculum--science, math and sensory experiences. We measured, mixed, rolled and pinched the dough to make hamentashen, and then the children chose whether to fill their cookie with chocolate chips or jelly. We loved seeing so many costumes and the joy of the holiday transform our everyday space in classroom C. We have truly enjoyed seeing your children so excited to learn with us on their first Purim in school.
