Hello Room 21 Families,
This week we continued our discussions about Tu B’Shevat and celebrated as a grade level this wonderful holiday. Each class had a different activity for your children to explore. In one room we had the opportunity to make paper using shavings, water and a blender. In another class we made fresh fruit smoothies. Finally, in the last room your children were able to plant seeds such as lemon grass, peppermint and flax seeds to name a few. In our classroom your children had the opportunity to sample dried fruits in comparison with their corresponding fresh fruit. We heard vocabulary words such as crunchy, chewy, soft. This activity was not only delicious, but also a wonderful learning opportunity for your children to compare and contrast. To end our week, we got to celebrate Huxley’s third birthday together on Shabbat. Thank you for the yummy treats and for sharing your birthday with all of us. We loved watching Huxley participate in being Shabbat boy. Have a wonderful weekend! Shabbat Shalom, Lashelle, Michelle and Jen Reminders:
