It has been a fun and busy week in Room 25! Each time our friends come to school they are learning, playing and exploring.
Mondays with Brock are always fun. This week we experimented with different types of bells, and the children kept a rhythm going as we sang songs and shook our bells together to the music. Mazel-Tov to Teacher Brock on his upcoming wedding. On Wednesday, we took a walk upstairs and played in the yard outside of Room C. The children loved playing in this yard. They were very excited to try out the slide, climbing area and sandbox. It was an adventure that our friends mastered. They rode bikes, cars, played in the house, moved some chairs around and then confidently walked back to Room 25 on the rope. Our little excursion helped our friends with risk taking, making choices and trying out new ideas. Children gain confidence and self esteem as they become more independent. It’s wonderful watching them develop so many new skills. On Monday, November 23rd, we will be having our Thanksgiving Feast at school. There is a sign up sheet in the class. If you haven't already, please sign up to bring a delicious treat. The Thanksgiving feast will be for children only. Save the date...We will celebrate Chanukah together in our classroom on December 9th. Everyone is welcome to join us. More details to follow. Please check your child's box to make sure they have extra weather appropriate clothing. The weather is getting cooler and we want our friends to be warm and cozy! We want to thank you for keeping your children at home when they are sick. You know your children best, and you know when they are not well enough to come to school. We appreciate you being considerate of the other children and families in our room. Germs travel fast and we want to keep all our friends healthy and happy! Just a reminder that there is no school on Monday, November 16th. Teachers have a Professional Development Day. Wishing you a wonderful long weekend. Shabbat Shalom! Marcela and Judy
