Shalom Ulpanon Bet families,
This week we learned about the holiday of Shavuot. We continued the story of Exodus and found out that after the Israelites left Egypt, they received the Torah on Mount Sinai. We talked about the significance of the Ten Commandments. The children are working on beautiful tablets of stone-where the Ten Commandments are written. We also created basket of fruit which we call in Hebrew-Bikurim. It is a tradition to bring the first fruit to the Holy Temple. This was a great week as we invited our Mothers and Grandmothers to join us here at school. We were able to participate in music class and make challah in the classroom. We had fun having you share our day with us! On Friday May 22, we will celebrate Shavuot in school. Please have your child wear all white (or mostly white) and bring a bunch of flowers to make a floral crown. Reminders: · Friday, May 22 is our all-school Shabbat. You are welcome to attend! · Healthy snack Hanna. Join us for the end of the year EC Tot Shabbat May 29| 5:30 p.m. Hershenson Hall Click here to register. Shabbat Shalom and have a great weekend! Warmly, Meirav and Talia
