This week room 21 has been busy exploring all things fall, including the thanksgiving holiday. We started the week out by shucking, then eating corn. We learned lots of new words like shuck, corn silk, husk, and kernel. We saved the husks and used them to paint with in autumn colors. We also shared the story of the Pilgrims and the first Thanksgiving. We talked about the Mayflower and how it was powered by the wind and its sails. But most importantly, we talked about being thankful for our family, the food we eat and our homes. Please remember we have our Thanksgiving feast coming up (which is a child only event). We will email out the sign up list as a reminder. It will be on the 23rd. Also, we are having our Hanukkah celebration a couple of days early on Dec 7 @ 11:15 the sign up sheet for that has been posted. Please take a look and sign up. This will be a family event. Shabbat Shalom, Sue & Anita
