Shalom Ulpanon Bet Families,
This week in class we continued to explore Pesach by learning the meaning of the name Passover and focused on the Seder plate. The children enjoyed making Haroset with apples, dates and raisins. The children brought home a taste of it. We also put tiogether a real seder plate and discussed the meaning of the symbols. The children are learning about how the Seder night is different than all other nights through the Ma Nishtanah and the four questions. Our friends are working on making a matzah box and a matzah cover. You are invited to our Pre-K Passover celebration here at school Tuesday March 24 at 11:00 AM in Hershenson Hall (no siblings please). A special thank you to Rebecca Brown, Avi’s mom, for coming to the library and reading books to the children. All of the pre-K students visited “A Taste of Camp” hosted by the Camp Directors of Camp Wise. They experienced the fun, some incredible activities and got acquainted with some of this summer's camp counselors. Summer is just around the corner and registration for Camp Wise is on our Wise School website. On Friday we attended the very first “Founders’ Day” event. This grand celebration was in honor of both our founding Rabbi, Isaiah Zeldin, and the man for whom our Temple is named, Rabbi Stephen Wise. The children got to enjoy the assembly with their 5th grade buddies and felt very special attending the event. We even got to meet Ilan's Great Grandpa! Conference Day- We both feel we had very productive meetings with all of you. We are grateful to have such a wonderful families and every day with your children is a gift to us. Reminders: -Passover Seder Tuesday 3/24/15 at 11:00 AM – parents are invited. -Avi’s special Shabbat 3/27/15 -please bring Tezedakah and Sova on Friday. Shabbat Shalom and have a fun weekend.
