Shalom Ulpanon Bet families, Can you believe it? Passover is on the way ( April 3) and there is so much to learn: the story, tradition and the way we celebrate it. This week in room 1 we retold the story of Passover and the miracle of the Israelites' exodus from Egypt to freedom. The children were fascinated by the story. We also talked about how the weather is changing and spring is coming. We discussed what we can find in nature during this season. Our friends made beautiful butterflies to decorate the classroom. The children enjoyed singing a song about the four seasons in Hebrew. Click Here to watch the video. Listen to your child and see how beautifully they sing! On Tuesday we visited the science lab. In honor of Earth Day coming up, the students learned all about how to take care of the Earth by reducing, reusing, and recycling. The children also took a tour of our school gardens to check in on the plants we have planted. “Share and Tell”: The children enjoyed talking about their favorite stuffed animal or teddy bear explaining how it is special to them. Next week for “Share Tell”, please have your child bring an item related to Passover. It can be a picture of your family celebrating, or you can write a note of a Pesach tradition or something unique to your family's seder.
