Pre-K celebration excitement is in the air. We began our week with rehearsal in the sanctuary and we sang our hearts out. The children can’t wait to show off their talents at the celebration. We are looking forward to those smiles.
We have also begun to work on our Shabbat Doobie boxes. Each family will have their own personal Doobie, Kiddush Cup, Candle Sticks, Challah Cover and Doobie Journal to use on Fridays at home. Bringing in the sweetness and love of the Shabbat with these items will also help to keep the love of Pre-K in all your hearts. This week in Yoga we went to England. Our guide was Princess Kate and she introduced us more new yoga poses. We met an English Sheep Dog pose, Red Squirrel pose, Hedgehog pose and a Badger pose. Remember, ask us to show you all the Yoga poses we have learned. Maybe you would like to do them along with the children. Wednesday was back to rehearsal with the entire Pre-K in the sanctuary. We learned to get up and down the risers, making sure not to crowd our friends and walk across following in a straight line. We even practiced keeping our hands to our sides, standing while singing. We know that sounds like things the children should know and do, but, with 63 children, it can be quite the challenge. We are so proud of the children and all their capabilities. Thursday, it was raining outside the beginning of the day but, no worries for room 2 we had a special activity. Leo’s mom came to do a photo shoot of all the children. We can’t wait to see the results! Friday was a short day with an early Shabbat celebration. The teachers were treated to a wonderful and special Yom Hamoreh Luncheon. Thank you to all of you for the afternoon.
