Happy Mothers and Grandmothers Week and Happy Birthday Israel. This week was a busy week and a very exciting week for us. On Monday we had PE and many of the moms and even a grandmother joined us to play volleyball. They also did our ball toss warm ups. The children and the gym were filled with so much laughter and smiles that continued to radiate throughout the week. After all the excitement we worked on cards for the moms. The children each told us what was special about their moms. Share your cards with the family this Shabbat and on Sunday for Mother’s Day. Each of you are very special in their lives and in our classroom life.
Tuesday at Yoga we went on a trip to Israel where we met lots of different Yoga Poses to practice. Don’t forget to ask the children about a Camel Pose, Falafel Pose, Soldier Pose and EL Al Airplane Pose. Room 2 takes our Yoga time very seriously. We are attentive and focused. We ended our Tuesday with Israeli dancing on 7/8/9 Patio. All five classes joined hands and danced until we had to stop to go home. The fun could have gone on longer if we had more time. All week we prepared for our Yom Haatzmaut Shuk by finishing off our flags and continuing our talk about the Kotel also preparing for Shabbat and the Mother’s Day gifts they made for you. The children chose the key chain, necklace or pin. Thursday we all prepared our Passports, boarded an El Al flight to Israel and arrived safely. As we marched around the country we ate, played, ate some more and visited with all our Pre-K friends in Israel. Room 2 made the Lemonade and it was a big hit at the Shuk. We added a little Grape Juice to make it Pink Lemonade. Maybe that’s why we had long lines at our Jerusalem table. TGIF, we need the rest. Blue and White Challah dough was a fun treat for the week. It made the festivities more exciting. Does the Challah taste different? You can tell us on Monday when we come back to school. Thank you all for making this week a fun, exciting and special time for Room 2. Please remember to read the reminders below. You can calendar the next few weeks.
