Shalom Ulpanon Bet Families,
This week we enjoyed the spirit of Hanukkah. The children mastered the story of Hanukkah and are able to retell it with ease! We are singing Hanukkah songs and working on various art projects that we look forward to sharing with you during our Hanukkah party next week in class. The children also invited Marla, Marilyn and the Rabbis to our celebration and we hand delivered their invitations – it was a precious moment to see their excitement. On Thursday we had fun at the music lab with Maestro David and we had a special visit to Rabbi Spike’s office this week. The children had the chance to see the beautiful artifacts and books in his office as well as his giant fish tank. It was a special bonding time with Rabbi Spike. We will continue our “Share and Tell” after the winter vacation on Wednesday, January 7 and we would like them to choose what item they would like to bring. Please prepare your child by asking why this item is special for them and share details about this item. Special thanks to Karen, Olivia’s mom, for being our guest reader in the Library and here are some reminders for next week: Reminders: Our class Hanukkah party on Tuesday December 16 at 11:00 a.m. in our classroom. Friday, December 19 is an early dismissal at 12:00 noon. Winter vacation begins December 22 – January 2, 2015 and school resumes on Monday, January 5, 2015. Shabbat Shalom! Warmly, Talia and Meirav
