This was a very busy week for the Wise School Robotics Teams. Team 970 traveled to St. Louis, MO to participate in the FIRST World Championship and Jr. Fll World Festival and Expo. It was AWESOME. On Saturday, May 2nd Teams 1890 and 2283 will travel to Legoland in Carlsbad to participate in the Southern California Jr. FLL EXPO. Good luck teams! Students in Kindergarten through Grade 3 are starting a new unit of learning in Lab 32: Code Studio. Each student has a unique username and secret picture to log on to our school accounts. These will be carefully monitored to ensure that students are being challenged at their most optimal level for learning.
Our Code Studio log on pages are here: http://www.lab32.org/code-studio.html Note to parents: All of these lessons align with Common Core Math, English Language Arts and Science Standards, International Society for Technology in Education Standards and CSTA Computer Science Standards. The following themes are explored: algorithms, data, abstraction, computing practice and programming, computers and communication devices and community, global and ethical impacts. Computational Thinking Practices: Creativity Collaboration Communication Persistence Problem Solving |
