Dear Parents,
Our week has been fun and sun filled! We started off with a beautiful Havdalah service on Monday morning and continued our day singing and playing instruments with Andrew. We spent the week talking about Purim and what we were going to dress up as. The children got to paint a paper plate for their pretend Hamentashen and stuff tissue paper on the inside for the filling. We also made necklaces out of cut straws with helped work on our fine motor skills. Everyone had a blast enjoying the sun and watching our plants grow outside. They have been watering them on a daily basis using a spray bottle which is also strengthening their grasp. On Wednesday, we made delicious Hamentashen! The children were able to flatten the dough using a rolling pin, a cup to cut out a circle and then got to decide if they wanted chocolate chips or jelly for their filling. Throughout this activity, we learned about different shapes, talked about Purim and got to enjoy this yummy treat for snack. We also got to make groggers/noise makers for our Friday Purim Shabbat services when the children hear Haman’s name. They get to shake their groggers and yell “boooo” really loudly. On Friday, we had a blast at our Purim Shabbat services and we would like to thank Grayson and his family for bringing in snack and spending Shabbat with us. After temple, we went to Beit Issie and got to enjoy some tasty fruits and veggies from the Farmers Market. We hope to see everyone on Sunday for the Purim carnival!! Wishing you all a wonderful Shabbat and lovely weekend. Shabbat Shalom, Marloes, Michelle and Tatiana Reminders: Parent/Teacher conferences are on Tuesday, March 14th (half day) and Wednesday, March 15th (No school).
