Dear Parents, This was our last full week of school together in Room 21; and we sure enjoyed it! We had a very special music class with Brock on Monday where we all got to play the “guero," clap, jump and stomp our feet along to the music. The children really got into it! We worked on our “Almost Three” birthday crowns- painting and gluing on colorful jewels onto them. We then spent lots of time out on the yard riding trikes, climbing the structure and taking turns digging in the sand with our crane digger. Not only was it so much fun, but also it strengthened our shoulders and core. Wednesday was our big "Almost Three" birthday party, where we celebrated all of the summer birthdays (all of our children), where we enjoyed mini cupcakes and mini ice-cream cones. But first, we burned off some of our almost summer energy at the “big kids yard" (aka The Explorers' Yard), where all of our summer camp kids will be playing as an introduction/practice run so that the children might feel more comfortable. We ran around the new environment, slid down the big slide and tried hanging and swinging from the monkey bars. Exploring a new structure and play space was very exciting. Finally, we ended our week, as always, by gathering in the Temple to celebrate our last all school Shabbat with Ditza and Rabbi Josh. They told the story of Rabbi Akiba and Rachael, which shares a message of love and faith - a sweet and meaningful note to end our year together. Congratulations to Joelle Kohan and her family. She did an awesome job as our big Shabbat girl! This has been such a wonderful year and we are so happy to have shared it with you and your children. They have come so far from his/her first days of school. They have learned, grown so, so much, bonded as class, with their friends and with us, the teachers. We will miss them and we don’t want to say goodbye, we will just say, we'll see you later. Thank you for sharing your children with us. **Remember, there is no class on Monday in observance of Memorial Day. **We look forward to seeing you all on Wednesday, June 1st (our last day of class) at 11:15 A.M. to celebrate and to enjoy some pizza and ice cream together. Please check your email for a reminder of what to bring. Shabbat Shalom and have a wonderful holiday weekend, Sue & Anita
