Room 21 Parent Newsletter 5.20 Dear Parents,
We have had a lovely and mellow week as we begin to wrap up the year and enjoy our last days together as a 1st steps class here in room 21. We played Letter Bingo, made our father’s day gifts, worked on a color sorting activity, beading and played at our favorite activities- music, cars, trains, cooking and puzzles. It’s been business as usual really, just slowed down a bit. We have learned and grown so much and school has truly become a second home. As we think about the past year and all the fun we know one thing for sure, we are going to miss our little ones! We started the week with music class with Brock where we shook our rain sticks along to the music and enjoyed the soothing sounds. On Wednesday, we worked on a few art projects then lingered on the yard...riding bikes and playing in the sand box just a little longer. On Friday, we celebrated Shabbat and enjoyed singing our favorite songs and listening to story together. Ditza’s story was extra special too, with an important message to, “Love your friend as you love yourself”. This theme of friendship and kindness is one that resonates strongly as it’s a value we’ve talked about so much throughout the year. We’d like to thank the Heyman family for joining us and a special thanks to Ben for doing such an awesome job as our Shabbat boy! Shabbat Shalom & Have a wonderful weekend, Sue and Anita
