Social Studies In social studies this week we learned all about maps and how to read them. We made our own treasure maps using all map elements we learned about. Phonics This week we focused on "ar" sound. We talked like pirates...Aaaarrrrrrrr matey! Math In math this week we began doing a year long review. We began our review with addition and subtraction with regrouping. Hebrew/Judaic Studies This week in Hebrew and Judaic studies we completed a year long project on the alef-bet, we can't wait to share it with you at open house! Homework Homework should not take your child more than 10 or 15 minutes. This should not include reading, which should be a separate 10 minutes every night. After your child has finished reading (with you, or by him or herself), please sign your initials on their reading calendar. In addition, please practice the weekly spelling words every night with your child.
