The children had a wonderful week. We dedicated this week to celebrating and learning about Sukkot. On the school grounds, we have three sukkot and we visited each and every one of them. We sang, danced and enjoyed snack inside the sukkah.
We incorporated the sukkah into our art project by having each child build their own sukkah using sticks, leaves and paper fruit. In addition, we introduced the holiday of Simchat Torah. The Torah wears a dress and a belt and is adorned with a crown. We also started teaching them the special Torah songs for this holiday and we'd love to know if you hear them singing them at home. Here are some reminders for next week: School is closed on Monday, October 5th in observance of Simchat Torah Shabbat Abba and Ema for Friday, October 9th are Asher and Rosie Bader. Wishing you all a Shabbat Shalom & Chag Sameach! Mira & Miri
