Our focus this week has been treating our friends with kindness in honor of Yom Kippur. At circle time we read “The Littlest Fish” by Sylvia Rouss and “Are you My Friend” by Eric Carl. We sang a song of friendship and togetherness. We danced in a large circle and with partners. We spoke of the different activities we like to do with our friends and most agreed that they would like a playdate with their classmates. We spoke about a “Big Circle of Friends” (Ma’agal Gadol Shel Chavereem) and created this concept in our classroom in different forms. We created art together, danced in a circle together and sang songs with our friends. Last week we celebrated Rosh Hashanah with Ulpanon Bet here in our classroom. We baked a cake for our guests (orcheem) in honor of the Birthday of the World, sang songs and had a dance party. We would like to remind you that we start our morning meeting promptly at 9:10 a.m., and it is very important your child come to school on time.
