We celebrated Tu Be’ Shevat this week with song and an amazing fresh and dry fruit tasting buffet. A big Thank You to all of our parents who brought in delicious fruit for your children to taste and experience. Our room 15 friends sang a song in front of the entire Explorer team and were very proud and happy. We baked and decorated a cake in honor of the Birthday of the Trees, and took pictures under our beautiful blossoming trees around campus.
Each child planted an individual flower plant, and they are now responsible for watering it weekly. This week we also worked on using scissors and most of our friends are mastering that fine motor skill. The more you practice, the better you get! We are working with the children on recognizing their names in Hebrew and we are amazed that some of them do know their own names as well as their friends. We introduced Purim this week, and after only 2 times of telling the story, many friends know the story and have participated in answering questions about the story.
