Week of January 18, 2016 This week the students learned about Martin Luther King Jr. and all of his achievements. They discussed the ethical issues as well as the multiple perspectives during the time of the Civil Rights Movement. They had great insights into talking about our Big Idea of how the power of non-violence led to the end of segregation. The students also wrote about their individual dreams for how they can make a difference in the world. Klei Kodesh Both last week and this week's Klei Kodesh did an outstanding job of leading us in the Misheberach prayer and telling us about who they pray for healing. Royal Reader Each of the royal readers this week and last week did a wonderful job of reading and sharing their book with the class. Israeli Dancing The students had a wonderful time learning new Israeli dances. They even had the chance to dance with the sixth graders! Important Upcoming Dates
