Thank you Parents! This week we celebrated our amazing WPA and all of the parents that help us each and every day. Thank you for helping Wise School MAKE GREAT HAPPEN! We just love when we can have Art, Music, Technology, Science, Engineering, Reading, Writing, Judaic Studies, and Public Speaking all come together in one. The Living Hero Museum was a lovely celebration of all of these things. The students made incredible inventions in Project Studio, delightful masks and representations of their heroes in Art, honest writings about their personal heroes in Judaic Studies, written and oral presentations were prepared in their General Studies classrooms and of course the creative songs they prepared in Music were all displayed beautifully in our museum. Thanks to Mr. Foonberg and Mrs. Van Noppen for the following pictures. Please Enjoy. This year in Art, the second graders explored other cultures and made clay bowls just like people do in Mexico. We then celebrated Cinco de Mayo by putting chips in our bowls and eating them with salsa and guacamole. We looked at some other Mexican art and culture learning about Sombreros and woven clothing. Look for our bowls at the Art Show during Open House next week! |
