Our Kindergartners experienced wholeness with a beautiful welcoming by the other grades during our Rosh Hashanah Tekes. While dressed pristinely in white, we sang spirited songs, recited blessings, and later ate apples dipped in sweet honey in our classrooms. We reflected on the previous year, and now look forward to all of the sweetness in the year to come. Wishing you and yours a Shanah Tovah Um'tukah!

Our kindergartners continue to learn deeply as they visited the science lab to study physical science. Following the Next Generation Science Standards, they explored the concepts of gravity, force, and motion by pushing, dropping, and rolling tennis balls down ramps. Additionally, we learned how to use the blue and green recycling bins and looked at the lab’s animals, comparing and contrasting reptiles and mammals. Welcome to kindergarten! The children are doing a nice job of adjusting to their new rules and routines. We are getting to know one another and exploring new concepts together. In language arts we have learned several sight words and created our own books using these words. We have engaged in our new math program and are exploring concepts such as same and different, and numbers 1 and 2. We have learned deeply in our specialist classes, using the computers in technology and music, and learning about organic and geometric shapes in art. We look forward to experiencing wholeness throughout this entire year. Here’s to a wonderful journey together! |
