We started off the week with our first Pre K Celebration rehearsal. The kids were proud to sing and show everyone the hard work they have done by practicing these songs. We have all been singing them in the bathroom at school, on the yard and while building puzzles. The kid’s energy has been fabulous and we cannot wait to share all of this with you on June 6th!
The amount of puzzles on the tables in this classroom is amazing. They have even started bringing them onto the floor because all the tables are filled with other puzzles. Their focus and excitement while building them is exceptional and we love seeing them build puzzles over and over again as well as bring out new ones. We love going over our letters we have learned. They were able to use the Big Lines, Little Lines, Big Curves and Little curves to make all the letters from our Handwriting Without Tears program. They remembered the sounds as well and are practicing them daily! We have been putting the cards out at centers and they love practicing together with their friends. We started off our rainy day indoors. Once we saw the sun come out, we put our jackets on and went on a walk around school. We observed new plants that were growing in the Shalom Garden, we saw the hills leading down to the street below, and enjoyed our time outside talking to each other and enjoying the beautiful weather. We are working on finishing up our Pre K journals. We decorated the cover page and will finish it by next week. We had a great week and can’t wait to finish out the year in the next few weeks together.
