This week we started a new unit on community! Within this unit students will be learning all about the residential, commercial, industrial, and agricultural communities. Students thought deeply about their own community and if they live in a urban, suburban or rural community. They wrote about where they live and created a map of their neighborhood with the help of their 6th grade buddy! They also created the front of their house with a paper bag. Students thought about what they are a member of. Students realized that they are a member different kinds of communities such as their neighborhood, family and Wise school. In math we finished learning and had practice with numbers 1-20. We ended our week learning and celebrating Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and all that he has done to make our world a better place. In Mrs. Katan's class students finished learning the hebrew words of winter clothing. Students started learning about the next unit of creation.
