Our kindergarteners have been learning deeply while exploring the season of autumn. We've been noting seasonal patterns, reading fall poems, writing fall books, and creating our very own fall trees. While visiting the science lab we learned about why seasons occur: as the earth rotates around the sun in the course of a year it tilts toward or away from it. Since Los Angeles is closer to the imaginary line around the earth known as the equator, our seasons are much milder as compared to other regions. Still, we enjoy noticing the changes taking place around us.
