As Sukkot began the week, students experienced wholeness as they sang and danced in the Sukkah with Teacher Brock! Our kindergarteners have been practicing their singing and dancing in preparation for the kindergarten Shabbat service and dinner. This week students were introduced to the universal concept of Structure which they will be learning about all year long. Students were able to find examples of structures all around them such as a house, building, a school, a body, and even the lulav. We also continued to work on the letter sounds for M and S. They are eager to give clues and take a guess of what is in their sound bag! In math students are continuing to review and learn about numbers 1-6 by acting out rhymes/stories, building towers, and playing games. They also had the opportunity to review our math vocabulary of same and different. In hebrew, students learned all about Sukkot and found many details as they looked at the lulav and etrog. We look forward to seeing you all at the kindergarten Shabbat service and dinner!! Services will start at 5:30 and dinner will begin soon after at 6:15.
